A Simple Guide to Preparing Ceremonial Cacao

step 1

Boil the kettle and let it sit while you make your cacao. You want the water to be hot, not boiling.

step 2

Put 20g of shaved ceremonial cacao into your blender with 80-120ml milk of your choice.

step 3

Add your sweetener of choice to taste. We love using honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar or stevia.

step 4

Add 100-150ml of hot water.Then blend for 10s or until frothy.

    Funky little gadget!

    Love love love this funky little portable mixer. I usually make a CC hot chocolate during winter - 2-3x day, but with the heat here in Queensland atm, that's just not what I'm feeling like. So now I'm making a scrumptious Iced Chocolate drink instead! I blend one scoop of CC cacao with a little bit of boiling water, then add CocoQuench coconut milk - blend it all up with this hand mixer so it goes all yummy and frothy, then I throw in some ice. Absolutely de-licious! And soooo good on a hot Australian Summer's Day. I've uploaded a video and a photo to show the scrumptious end product.

    I do wish you didn't have to hold the button down to keep it turned on. A press on, press off function would make it even better if that's doable. It's not a biggie though, as it only takes a few seconds to froth up, and maybe it would be annoying to have to switch it on & off ??

    Yikes . . . .

    This little beast has some power !

    First time I used it, sent the mixture flying all over the bench.

    I quickly learnt to use a different container and make sure it was only filled half way.

    This now lives in the camper for those "away days"

    Very handy
